ESTHER LITTLE
Esther has been attending Playground2Pro sessions since she was 11 years old in 2013. Her basketball success and journey is well documented and she has ultimately ended up as one of the most exciting prospects in British Basketball. Esther is widely considered to be the best player of her generation in the country and has won no less than ten national championships with Ipswich, winning Most Valuable Player awards at almost every age group.
Esther now attends Gonzaga University in the United States in NCAA Division One, one of the top fifteen basketball programme’s in the world.
VERON EZE
Veron was identified through our community programme in 2013, and worked his way through the various phases of our development pathway. Veron has played from Great Britain at U16, U18, U20 and U23 level. His basketball talents have also seen him play in Italy and America where he attended Augustana University in NCAA Division Two on a full athletic scholarship.
Veron now plays professionally in the top tier of the national League here in England with the NBL Division One National Champions Hemel Storm.
HARRIET WELHAM
Harriet is well known to the Playground2Pro Community. For many years Harriet was the community coach for the programme, while she continued to pursue her career as a professional player for Ipswich. In her last four seasons in Ipswich Harriet led the club to an unprecedented six National Championships at Senior Women’s level, while collecting National Player of the Year in three of those four seasons. Her impact on not only the Ipswich Basketball Club community, but the Playground2Pro community cannot be understated. In the summer of 2021 Harriet signed her first professional contract with Besancon in France, where she spent the last two seasons.
Harriet has now returned to Ipswich as a professional player and coach. She is the club Captain for Endeavour Ipswich Basketball Club and leads our Elite Skill Sessions and run our Elite Camps.
